Terms and conditions

1) General -

By placing an order with Cherished moments by Rebecca it is understood that you have read through these terms and conditions and agree to all parts without exception. 

All jewellery pieces are made to order, which means no two pieces are the same. Colours can also vary, depending on how you are viewing the colour chart.

2) inclusions -

inclusion colours can affect the overall look and brightness of the final piece. For example, dark ashes can darken the overall colour. Flakes, glitter and crushed opal can also change the look of the background colour.

Hair- Lighter or finer hair can become transparent or less visable once placed into the resin, which can affect the final look of your jewellery piece.

Please contact me to discuss what would work best with the colour hair you have.

Ashes- All ashes are visibly different and can vary in colour and size. Ashes can be white, beige, grey or black, which is completely normal, but please bare this in mind when you are visualising your final piece.

3) Orders-

When an order has been placed, you will receive an email to confirm. Shortly after this, you will receive an address of where to have your inclusions sent to.

When ordering rings it is important that the right ring size is ordered, this will be the customers responsibility to provide the right size. Once a size is agreed on at the time of ordering, this then can not be changed.

4) Cancellations-

Cancellations can only be made within 24 hours of your order being placed. If you have changed your mind, please contact me as soon as possible.

If your inclusion has already been sent then the return postage fees will be charged from your order total to post them back to you.

Once your jewellery has been started, it is not possible to change or cancel as your inclusion can not be separated from the resin stone once the process has began.

5) Posting Inclusions-

Cherished moments by Rebecca can not be held responsible for any inclusions that get lost in transit. It is the customers responsibility to make sure the inclusions are packaged well and also are posted using a service that gives cover and tracking for your own peace of mind.

Once Cherished moments by Rebecca has received your inclusion, every care will be taken to treat it respectfully and securely to make sure that the correct inclusion is used for your order. All inclusions are stored in a named file with order details, it will only be removed to make the order, and then it will be safely put away again until the order is complete. I only work on one order at a time, ensuring that there is no cross contamination and all work surfaces and areas are cleaned between each order.

Any unused ashes or hair will be returned to the customer with your completed jewellery piece.

6) Timescales-

I aim to have all in stock jewellery orders completed within 5-6 weeks of receiving your inclusion. For gold or custom made jewellery your order may take an extra 2-3 weeks due to it being sent off for hallmarking at the essay office.

Although i aim to have your order completed in this time frame, this may change if third parties who are involved in supplying Cherished moments by Rebecca with jewellery or delivery companies experience any delays. You are purchasing your items in full knowledge that delays may occur are these dates are given as ESTIMATES ONLY.

7) Completed orders-

Once your jewellery has been completed, photos will be taken of your piece for me to advertise on my website and social media platforms. It is not always possible for me to send you a photo of your finished piece prior to posting. If you would like a photo sent please add this to the notes section when placing your order so i can make a note of this on your file,

8) Delivery -

All completed orders are posted via Royal mail special delivery, this is the only royal mail service which covers for jewellery. And it is also guaranteed to arrive the next business working day by 1pm.

It is the customers responsibility to ensure the correct delivery details have been given. Cherished moments by Rebecca will not be held responsible for any incorrect delivery details.

I DO NOT offer postage outside of the UK.

9) Returns and Refunds -

As each piece is handmade with your personal inclusion, returns and refunds are not possible unless faulty. Refunds or exchanges will not be given due to ring orders not fitting the customer. Please refer to section 2) Orders.

All sizing of jewellery is checked before your order is made to ensure the size is correct.

10) Aftercare -

Aftercare advice is forwarded to all customers on completion of your orders. Please read through these steps to ensure your jewellery stays at its best quality.

- Avoid direct contact with perfumes, body lotions, hair sprays or other chemicals.

- Avoid direct sunlight, heat or cold. Especially stay from humidity.

- Remove jewellery when bathing, showering or swimming.

- Remove jewellery before going to bed.

Remove jewellery when participating in physical activities E.G cleaning, working (if this requires hands on activities), gardening and gym.

- Clean your jewellery after each use. A jewellery polishing cloth will be provided with each purchase.

- When not being worn, jewellery should be stored in an air tight seal bag or box.

Cherished moments by Rebecca will not be held responsible for mishandling jewellery once it is in your care.
